No Deposit Sweepstakes Casino Bonuses: What Is Actually Free in August 2026

"No deposit bonus" is borrowed language. Sweepstakes casinos do not take deposits, so nothing you claim is a deposit bonus in the real-money sense. What operators actually give away is promotional currency, and only one of the two currencies they hand out can ever turn into a prize.

This guide explains the mechanics, then lists the no-purchase offers we were able to confirm on operator-controlled pages on August 19, 2026. Anything we could not confirm ourselves was cut, and we say which ones and why.

Gold Coins are not the prize

Nearly every sweepstakes site runs a two-coin model. The first coin is the play-money coin, called Gold Coins, Crown Coins, or something similar. The second is the sweepstakes entry coin.

Stake.us states it plainly in its help center: Gold Coins "are a virtual currency with no monetary value and can only be used for fun play. They cannot be redeemed," while Stake Cash "can be redeemed for prizes" (Stake.us help center, updated November 19, 2025).

Crown Coins draws the same line and adds a detail worth knowing: you cannot convert one into the other in either direction (CrownCoins help center, March 3, 2026).

So when a banner leads with a six-figure coin number, read the small figure next to it. A welcome package of 100,000 Crown Coins plus 2 free Sweeps Coins is, in prize terms, a 2 Sweeps Coin offer (CrownCoins help center, March 3, 2026).

Playthrough is where free coins get complicated

Free sweeps coins usually arrive with a play requirement before they count toward a prize.

Spree's official rules require coins collected by any free method to be "played through in an applicable Sweepstakes Game at least once" before they count toward a redemption (Spree sweepstakes rules, version 1.9, updated May 20, 2026). SweepKing's rules use the same one-play concept and reserve the right to require more than one use (SweepKing sweepstakes rules, version 1.4, updated July 14, 2026).

The gap between operators is large, and it is in the promotional terms rather than the banner. SweepKing's promotional terms, last updated August 10, 2026, set 1x playthrough on regular Sweeps Coins but 20x on Bonus Sweeps Coins, restrict Bonus SC play to slot games, and cancel the bonus if the requirement is not met within 30 calendar days (SweepKing promotional terms).

Stake.us applies its 3x rollover only to Stake Cash received alongside a Gold Coin purchase, which means the purchase-linked coins are the ones that carry the condition (Stake.us help center, August 12, 2022).

Redemption minimums decide whether free ever becomes money

Playthrough is only half the gate. The other half is the balance you must reach before the redeem button does anything.

Spree publishes the clearest version: you need 100 or more qualifying Spree Coins in your account before a cash prize can be claimed, redeemable at $1.00 USD per qualifying coin (Spree sweepstakes rules).

Set that against a daily claim capped at 2.50 free Spree Coins a day, from the same rules document, and the arithmetic of a no-deposit run becomes obvious. Free coins are a way to play, not a payout plan.

Spree also expires coins after an account goes 60 days without sweeps play, so a dormant balance is not a savings account.

Spree's homepage currently advertises "Get 25,000 Gold Coins For FREE! + 2.5 Spree Coins" (spree.com). Its rules describe the sign-up award as up to 3.55 free Spree Coins spread across the first three days of logins. Both were live today. When a banner and a rules page disagree in framing, the rules page is the one that governs a redemption.

What we could not verify, and dropped

Four promotions were checked and left out. Spindoo's site returned a "Restricted Access" page instead of a promotions page. A LoneStar offer could only be found on a third-party review site, not an operator page. RealPrize returned a challenge page on every attempt, so its wheel promotion is unconfirmed here. A Hello Millions blackjack tournament was not listed on its promotions page today.

None of that means those offers are fake. It means we did not see them ourselves, and we do not print figures we have not read.

Eligibility is per operator, not per industry

Age rules are set by each operator, not by a single industry standard. Spree requires entrants to be at least 18, or older where a state demands it (Spree sweepstakes rules). Hello Millions states 21 and over on its own homepage (hellomillions.com). SweepKing sets 18, with a 21 floor for Mississippi.

State availability differs just as much. SweepKing's July 14, 2026 rules exclude residents of Arizona, California, Connecticut, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Tennessee, Utah and Washington, and restrict Mississippi to players 21 and over (SweepKing sweepstakes rules). Hello Millions publishes a separate page of game-supplier restrictions that blocks individual studios in individual states (Hello Millions restricted states).

Check the rules page for your own state before you spend time on any offer, and ignore offers from brands that are winding down US operations.

How to read any no-deposit offer in about a minute

Find the sweeps figure, not the gold figure. Open the promotional terms and search for "playthrough" to see whether the coins are regular or bonus. Open the sweepstakes rules and find the minimum redemption balance. Then check the restricted states list.

If a site will not show you those four things, the offer is not really free. It is just unpriced.
